Hotel Overview

Mamamapambo Boutique Hotel is situated in the seaside village of Jambiani on the southeast coast of Zanzibar island. The hotel is built directly on the beach and is surrounded by lush vegetation.
Each room is decorated in an ethnic style and has a large 4-poster bed draped in mosquito nets and has a patio. The spacious bathroom includes a large shower.

About 5 minutes drive from the nearest town Paje so it’s nice and quiet the area, you walk out your room straight onto the beach. Our room was really spacious and they upgraded our room for free lovely hosts going out their way to make our stay great

Room: We stayed in one of the upstairs rooms. The room is spacious. An architect would've designed the bathroom differently as there were a couple of design hiccups but nothing major. In front of the room was a very nice private sitting area with a view on the beach. I guess we were more safe in our upstairs room. Beach: the view on the beach is very beautiful, but the beach itself is not very exciting as most of the buildings along the coast are built on the beach itself Breakfast: the breakfast was very good

We recently stayed at Mamamapambo for five nights, and it quickly became one of the highlights of our Zanzibar trip. While exploring the beaches of Paje and Jambiani, we had the chance to check out other hotels, but Mamamapambo truly stood out from the rest. The entire team was incredibly welcoming, and helpful, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. A special thanks to the manager, who was very friendly and went above and beyond in helping us plan our days. His insightful suggestion and careful planning truly enhanced our experience. The rooms and the atmosphere of the entire place were superb. The room was extremely well-maintained and clean. We also loved the breakfast and chilling areas, which offered fantastic ocean views. We couldn’t recommend Mamamapambo more—it’s the perfect choice for a relaxing and memorable stay!
