Hotel Overview

Situated along the white, sand Jambiani Beach, Blue Oyster Hotel features sun loungers along the beach with thatched Makuti parasols. There is also a rooftop restaurant and a beach bar.
The rooms come with carved Zanzibari-style beds, a desk and fan. Some rooms also offer a balcony and sea views. The en suite bathrooms are equipped with a shower.
Guests can relax by the beach, in the garden hammocks or with a massage. The hotel has a ngalawa fishing boat and snorkelling equipment available for rent. There is also a small library with international books and a shop with locally produced souvenirs.

This budget-style room is decorated with hand carved, wooden Zanzibari beds, and has a smaller terrace with a seating area. The rooms offers a desk, a chair and smaller wardrobe with a clothing rack. The room is situated in our main building with a view of our garden and/or beach bar, the ocean is partially visible directly from the terrace. Due to environmental considerations, our rooms have fans, but no air conditioning.

Blue Oyster exceeded all my expectations! The food was excellent, with both dinner and breakfast offering a variety of flavorful options. The lunch served outside on the BBQ was a highlight—fresh, delicious, and perfect for the beachfront setting. The service was exceptional, with friendly staff making sure every need was met. We stayed in a sea view room, which was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Waking up to the sight of the ocean every morning was a dream! Highly recommend!

Extremely friendly staff. This is a small hotel with no swimming pool but it has all other facilities one would like to have. The rooms are very large and have very comfortable beds.
