The mountain scenery and view, best enjoyed on the deck were lovely, along with the atmosphere indoors brought on by a wood cabin feel. It was also extremely well kitted out for self contained living.

The whole ambience of the location was great, very peaceful, quiet and serene. The breakfast (both Japanese and Western) were delicious, well-presented and satisfying. The cottage that we were in had fantastic views across the mountains and lake and was well equipped. What we also appreciated were the directional signs leading to the cottages which were in English, a refreshing change from all the Japanese signs that we had to decipher. A truly pleasant and enjoyable stay.

Our family of three (with baby) had a phenomenal stay beyond all measure at this property. We had the winter nabe dinner as well as the Japanese breakfast-- both incredibly and stunningly delicious. The hospitality was amazing as well-- we were taken care of by a fluent English speaker even. What an unexpected delight to ease our journey! We were invited to morning prayer, the views were breathtakingly gorgeous, and the room immaculate. Been here for years and it was the best stay I've ever had in Japan. Also could not believe the value.
