Positives + Breakfast when prepared by the new manager Hakan + Great location (close to main transportation hubs (tram, bus, ferry) and sights and shops (Istiklal, Galata Tower, Galataport) + The family suites overlook an inner court and are quiet if there is no loud music I stayed with my whole family in a family suite at the same hotel in 2019. I rated it as 10 back then. Fast-forward to 2024, and I didn’t think twice when I saw an offer for a family suite with breakfast included. My biggest mistake was not checking the current reviews—the grade has dropped to 7, and frankly, rightfully so. The hotel has changed management and started operating a bar on the ground floor. On Saturday and Sunday, there was no music; glimpses of the old hotel and why we loved it so much back in 2019 appeared, but they remained only glimpses; as the new manager put it: “A lot has changed since 2019.” I would add: “Sadly for the worse.”

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is amazing, near the port and ferries and fancy restaurants. There is a supermarket just in front the hotel. The room was very clean. A bit loud music outside during evenings, but excellent for party lovers.

After reading the previous comments, I was initially concerned about the cleanliness and high noise levels at the hotel. However, I was relieved to find that our suite was clean, and we experienced no disturbances from outside noise. While the bar across the street was indeed loud, it didn't affect our stay in Suite no 4. The suite is located on the third floor above the reception, with additional stairs you need to climb to reach the reception area, it might pose a challenge for those with mobility issues. Nevertheless, it was acceptable for us since we had clean and quiet rooms. Considering the reasonable price we paid for our stay, the hotel's conditions and service met our expectations. Overall, despite some grievances, I was generally satisfied with our hotel experience. I must commend the gentleman at the reception for his attentiveness and assistance. He graciously helped us with our luggage both upon arrival and departure, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort.
