Great hospitality! Paula and her husband were incredibly kind and attentive, sharing the best tips about the island and even going out of their way to pick us up from the port and make reservations for us... The staff is also very friendly, making us feel right at home. This family-run hotel gives a wonderful sense of warmth and welcome. We had a small issue with our reservation, but it was quickly resolved. The pool area is beautiful, making our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended, specially for families!

The best place we could find to stay at the whole island. Super kind owners, family run business, top notch service. Dario picked us up and dropped us off at the ferry as a complimentary service, arranged a scooter and provided so many useful tips. Very peaceful location with a beautiful garden, two pools which one of them is thermal one. The best local beach of the whole island just few minutes walking underneath the hotel. 10/10, definitely gonna come back one day. Thank you so much 🌞❤️

I really cannot express what an absolute gem of a hotel this is....... From the very start, the staff were amazing accommodating our needs, our Italian is not very good. Nothing was too much trouble : questions about the location, the island, renting scooters, everything was taken care of. We had dinner at the hotel on one of the evenings, the food was absolutely amazing, an incredibly authentic experience, and there was so much on offer. The grounds of the hotel are absolutely wonderful. The garden is a stunning classic mediterranean style, with olive trees, bougainvillea and two lovely swimming pools. One pool is the solar heated seasonal pool, very large, with whirlpool functions, and the other is the geothermal heated pool. It is not just suited for families, but couples or solo travellers would be equally as comfortable and welcome here. Proximity to one of the best beaches on the island is great, a short walk. We hired scooters on another day and toured around the island, there is plenty to see and do. Breakfast was all fresh, a choice of breads, pastries, home made jams and fruit. Tea or coffee, it was all very pleasant on the garden terrace . All the staff were incredibly helpful whenever we needed a question answered. this place is an 11 out of 10.

Very nice & cozy family owned business. The hotel garden is lovely, so is the hotel pool. Dario & Paola are the best hosts ever, taking care of their guests at Hotel Ideal! They constantly made sure we had everything we needed. Their tips & recommendations definitely made our holidays more entertaining. The hotel staff were all TOP, from waiters to cleaning ladies, everyone is nice and does its best for their guests. Good location, near to the Chiaia beach. Poseidon Gardens (therme) are also at walking distance, a place we highly recommend. Do not miss the La Mortella botanical garden either, it is a wonderful place to visit in Ischia. The area of Sant'Angelo is also a great place to visit, with fine restaurants & clean sandy beaches with wonderful water, definitely proper to swim in even after mid of September. You may get there from Hotel Ideal by bus. Forio city centre is at a 20-30 min walk away from the hotel, offering a solid range of restaurants & several boutiques.

We had a wonderful stay in Ischia at Hotel Ideal, in September 2024. It's a cozy family owned business, Dario & Paola are the most kindest & cheerful hosts. They really take care of their guests, making sure you have all you need. On arrival day, our hydrofoil trip from Naples to Ischia Forio has been cancelled due to bad weather conditions. However, Dario was very thoughtful and has informed us beforehand (despite no info received from Alilauro company), taking care of rebooking a transfer for us. He even picked us up from the port in Ischia after a long day on the way. We appreciated it A LOT!! He saved our day. The location is very nice, a quiet place to enjoy your holidays, near to the Chiaia beach. We also received great tips from our host for visiting the surroundings. Public transport available within 5-10 min of walking.

Dario, Paula and all the staff were superb. Nothing is a problem. Breakfast on the garden terrace is a perfect start to the day. The pool area is never too busy and has lovely views of the mountains which dominate the island. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant 3 times during our stay which was excellent but we also ate in many good restaurants in Fario, some recommended by Dario. We stayed in Hotel Boutique (Ideal) for 12 days and we did not want to leave. Care and attention to customer need was paramount. Thank you.

This is what we have been looking for - a boutique, calm hotel with a garden, swimming pool and delicious breakfasts. Hotel Boutique Ideal is ticking all the boxes! Perfect location in the hills with a nice view (sea, mountains, garden), beautiful olive garden, which separates swimming pools area (one with sweat water, one with thermal hot water) from the hotel rooms. There are only 24 rooms in this facility and this makes it very cosy. It is hosted by a family and during the stay one can really feel like a part of it. Rooms are small but comfortable and very clean. We’ve got the room wich must have been renovated recently and with a spacious terrace. Highly recommended for those, who want to get test ans charge batteries in a calm and green area. - close to bars and restaurants (you can as well the restaurant in the hotel for lunch and super - very good Ischian cuisine!) - close to Forio city center (15 minutes by walk but you can ask at the reception for a free of charge shuttle bus) - close to a beach (spiaggia cava dell Isola - public beach); you need to be ready for running down the hill but climbing up the hill on the way back); you can borrow sun umbrellas and straw mat at the reception desk) - close to Citara beach (700 m) - we asked for a shuttle bus both ways (you can use public beach but I recommend to rent sunbeds at Poseydon) - close to botanic garden with impressive cacti - close to bus stops Thank you Paula and Dario! We have spent great time at your place!

It was an amazing stay, the hotel staff went above and beyond to our every little request and we were always greeted with a smile and a nice conversation! Although the hotel grounds are a bit old it doesn’t take away from its charm. If you want the true Ischia experience I recommend staying here!

We loved that this was a small boutique hotel but the gardens and pool area were large and relaxing with a fabulous view of the mountain. And staying here felt very much like home with all management and staff providing exceptional and very friendly, helpful service. Our room was very clean with a wonderful view of the ocean, a great place to watch the sunset! Breakfast was very tasty with lots of options in a wonderful setting in the garden.

Locally known as Hotel Ideal, we loved it here. Delicious breakfast on a gorgeous terrace overlooking the stunning gardens. The pool was gorgeous with a stunning mountain backdrop. The thermal pool was a treat. Never had an issue finding a sun bed either. The staff were just lovely. Made you feel like family. Even gave us a lift to the beach one day! Really helpful too. We had dinner twice (unusual for us), one in the restaurant and once on the terrace and it was delicious. Room was great. Clean and comfortable. Bunk beds for the boys. Lovely balcony with fab sea views. Forio was lovely. About a 10-15 minute walk away, some of it downhill. But even I found the return uphill walk ok! Busy, but a great variety of restaurants for all budgets and a nice buzz. Really glad we stayed on the west of the island as the sunsets were stunning. Highly recommend the boat trip around the island that the hotel organised for us. (With lifts to and from the hotel). There is a beach across the road and down a sloping walk way. We couldn't face the walk down! It was so hot when we were there and we wanted to chill out after a crazy 5 days in Naples and Rome. We just stayed by the pool most of the time, but we saw it from the boat trip and it looked lovely. No sunbeds (which we like). The hotel have umbrellas you can borrow too! We only used the bus from the Port to Forio but seemed to be well served by buses too.
