“Cheap, clean, not for folk who like any luxury. But I liked it.”

It is cheap. If you like counting pennies, then this is a good thing. I had keys to my room, the apartment and the main door. Free to come and go. Beds and room were tidy, clean and totally adequate. Attentive check-in at 9.20pm.

The Place is located closely to the train station(s) of Irún, near the city center. The Camino de Santiago starts a few feet away from the front door. The accomodities of the location are good for pilgrims doing the camino: You get your own room and bed for a fair price and have to share the bathroom with a few fellow visitors. The personal was really welcoming and warm-hearted. Booking.com had a problem with my credit card, but it was no problem to pay in cash.

I stayed here for one night on the way to Spain. The price is more than fair for what you get, the room is small but well-maintained and clean. Perfect for travellers who just need a place to sleep. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. My train was delayed so I arrived quite late in the evening, which was not problem at all. When I told him I was taking a bus to Oviedo that night, he pointed out to me that the bus was leaving from a different stop than usual due to construction work. I did find the bus stop and caught my bus - thank you so much for the help!

Nice staff. They accomodated my check-in at 10pm. And he helped me by telling me where I could get my credentials for Camino del Norte to Santiago (at Jakobi Pilgrim Albergue).
