We travelled with our little girl to visit relatives a few days before Christmas and expected basic accommodation but the Holiday Inn Orwell exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Staff went out of their way to ensure my dietary requirements (coeliac disease) were catered to, and that all of the team were aware. I had two of the tastiest gluten free meals in their restaurant that I think I've ever eaten. There was a big breakfast selection, and even a gluten free station so that you could safely make your own toast. The room was spacious, very clean and had all the amenities you'd expect. Very comfy beds too. We were also provided with a travel cot for the little one which was spotlessly clean. The staff are so warm and friendly really make the hotel a lovely place to stay, and were great with our little girl. We enjoyed our stay so much that we joked we should stay for Christmas!

We are,a family of three plus a dog and have stayed twice. The staff are always friendly and helpful and bent over backwards to facilitate my daughter's gluten free requirement. The food is good and rooms comfortable.

We were upgraded from a standard double to a superior room. The bed was comfortable and it was a nice sized room. Breakfast was self service and cooked to a good standard. There was plenty of parking and although we were quite close to a busy road no road noise. The staff were very welcoming and friendly.

The breakfast was delicious with adequate choices for me as a vegetarian. The pillow menu meant I could get a softer pillow.
