The fine print
From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. In line with the Malaysia government’s decision to implement Sales and Service Tax (SST) of 6% effective 1st January 2022, this tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in.Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Good customer service, very comfortable rooms, the hotel is close to alot of eateries. There wasnt any issue with hot water. We felt extra safe with the guards around too. Tambun was about half an hour to 45 mins away, I suggest to stay a night in Tambun if you're going to Lost World. Otherwise Cititel Express is the best option.

- Great location, 10min walk from the train station (you have to cross a dangerous road tho) and 2min from the center - Good breakfast - 7 eleven (supermarket) on the ground floor - Very friendly staff - Nice room

The location is just in the intersection towards old town and new town. Very close to the train station as well. Tricky to navigate if hauling suitcases but ok if carrying a backpack only. Front desk ordered a Grab to the train station for RM 5 only. There is a security by the door who was always ready to open the doors for you. Very helpful if you have suitcases to haul in and out.
