The fine print
From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. Please note that the hotel requires the following :
- Due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, the property only accept bookings from those who have been fully vaccinated that met the criteria following:-
- Completed two injection doses namely Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca, Sinovac must have passed 14th day from the date of injection of the second dose
- Completed one injection dose namely Janssen (Johnson Johnson) and Convidecia (CanSino)), must have past the 28th day from the date of injection
Any arrival without fully vaccinated will not be able to check in and booking will be cancelled by the receptionist on the spot. Any paid bookings will be refunded within 14 working days; subject to Booking.com cancellations policy.

They managed to upgrade us after some episodes. Thanks for the trouble. We managed to get valet parking which was a good bargain. Breakfast was decent for a 20++ per person. My daughter got a christmas stuff toy. That was cute. Thanks to all the staff very polite and accomodating.

The complimentary, semi buffet Hi Tea was good and exceeded my expectations. The pastry set was delicious but non refillable. However, there were other items to order off the menu and that is good enough to supplement the set. The staffs in the restaurant were pleasant and helpful.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean, making it easy to relax after a long day. The staff were incredibly friendly and always greeted me with warm smiles, which added a personal touch to my experience. Everything about my stay was comfortable and welcoming—I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for excellent service and a spotless, roomy place to stay.

This is my third stay at 1969 and second stay at 1969 Ipoh Garden. The front desk service by Melvin and Ikmal are great! Melvin is very prompt to assist when i need to on the fan in the gym. He is fast and friendly. Ikmal help arranged hotel limousine to pick me at KTM station. Very prompt pick up and send me off to KTM station on the second day. I really enjoy the complimentary high tea too. The lava cake is great and then ambience make we want to say for a long time.

The convenience of this hotel if you are just putting a night in Ipoh, and to continue with your journey the following day. It is one of the better ones amongst those with such convenient access to the highway. The staffs were friendly and attentive too!

I was impressed with the friendly stuffs and food provided in the hotel. I like the hotel decorations, its simple and stylist make us feel really comfortable. Strong recommended for business traveller. Location wise is superb, easy to go everywhere even by walking. Surrounding with lots of unique shops and restaurants, parking easy. Will come back again for sure. Thanks.
