We liked the unadulterated state of the Georgian building. Our bedroom had a lovely cosy generic shape from that time. It was so at peace with itself. The service was superb and fry professional. The grounds are lovely and traditional on the very edge of the city.

Superb Value for money, room was large, clean and recently refurbished bathroom was amazing. Breakfast choice and quality was first class and the staff were very helpful in getting a high chair for our 2 year old. Location and grounds were first class and will definitely stay again. Beds were super comfy!

The staff are outstanding, so helpful, genuine and friendly, a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere .. We also chose to eat at the hotel on Friday night as it was a special occasion , the food is utterly outstanding .. and we both agreed from all the hotels we have stayed in over the years, it’s probably the best we’ve ever tasted , the chef is an absolute credit to the hotel, do not lose them: even breakfast which was included in the prices was a master piece, absolutely everything cooked fresh to order … absolutely highest recommendations for a meal

The staff went above and beyond to help and very accommodating. The breakfast was best and biggest breakfast I’ve ever had in a hotel and I am well travelled
