We loved it here. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. The staff are so lovely. The Crescent is an old hotel built in the mid 19th century. It is right in the centre of Ilkley, a couple of minutes walk from the station and right on the main shopping street. Yet you can still see the moors from the centre of town and it’s very easy to be right out on them in a matter of minutes. At the back is a modern extension and that’s where the apartments are located. We booked a self contained suite for a two day stay to visit family. There was one bedroom and a sofa bed. It was huge and had a proper kitchen with everything you could need. Spotlessly clean. The food is really marvellous too. We had an excellent breakfast each morning. It was served between the very civilised hours of 8 and 11. We loved the kind housekeeper who was so friendly and charming, as was Emily on the desk and every other staff member we encountered. We plan to return very soon.

A great location and a lovely building. The checking in staff and restaurant staff in the morning were lovely. We thought it was a nice touch that they called ahead to ask which bed we’d prefer made up for our son and if we’d like a cot putting up. It was also brilliant to have a parking space reserved for us (we booked a suite). The suite was a great layout and really clean. We were only staying a night but it would have been perfect for a longer stay with the kids. Breakfast included was delicious, too and it’s a lovely restaurant.
