My partner and I recently stayed at Wildercombe House, and it was truly a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the warm and attentive hospitality made us feel incredibly welcome. We were unsure if we were going to make it in a Friday night in time for check in but communicated with Anne-Marie who gave us a contact number incase we got stuck! Luckily we didn’t :) Our room was beautifully appointed—spacious, immaculately clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The attention to detail was remarkable, from the comfortable bedding to the little touches that made the space feel so inviting. One highlight of our stay was the exceptional service from the host. On our first morning, we were going to miss breakfast due to taking part in the local Parkrun, but the host thoughtfully prepared a breakfast box for us to enjoy upon our return —a gesture that went above and beyond and made our day even more enjoyable. The breakfast the following morning was equally impressive, with a wide variety of delicious, freshly prepared options served in a bright and welcoming dining area. The location of Wildercombe House was ideal for our getaway—peaceful and relaxing yet close to the beautiful North Devon coast and local attractions. Whether you’re seeking a base for exploring the area or just looking for a tranquil retreat, it’s perfectly situated. Overall, Wildercombe House provided the perfect combination of comfort, charm, and exceptional service. Our stay was everything we could have hoped for, and we can’t wait to return in the future. Highly recommended!
