D “My home in Idukki - in true sense - the hospitality is unmatched”

The host Lijo is professional in managing the place however thats secondary. They are family. Lijo, his parents specially aunty treated me like their family. I never had to worry about a thing. The food is exceptional - they served home made kerala food which was beyond delicious. Vegeterian and non-vegeterian food is prepared based on customers choice and liking. Lijo called multiple times throughout the day to make sure my stay and travel is comfortable. I felt i was at home. I could go around the property and roam in farm. Location - though deep inside - is perfect for a relaxed getaway since its nestled on farmland. Their dog Jackie and i became friends. Definitely recommended for long stay. The place is best for calm and peace seekers. Family will enjoy their time together hence recommended for families too. Note - Groups/ bachelors planning for noisy parties/ creating ruckus - please dont go here.

Cherukunnel Jose Homestay near Thadiyampad Idukki offers a serene and memorable retreat with it's peaceful atmosphere, convenient accessibility and hospitality. Nestled amongst lush greenery and scenic views, the Homestay provides a perfect blend of comfort and natural beauty. Myself and my wife visited the Homestay during the first week of January 2025. We were welcomed by Mr.Jose, the host and his wife. They offered us a welcome drink. Mr.Lijo, son of Mr.Jose came later and enquired about our needs and did his best to make our stay a memorable one. We stayed for 2 days. The breakfast, lunch and dinner were very tasty. The room and bathroom are clean. They provides hot water throughout the day. This Homestay stands out for it's charm and dedication to guest satisfaction. I highly recommend this Homestay for families seeking getaway with all the comforts of home amidst the natural beauty of Idukki.

The home stay, location and the way of taking care of us was so good and everyone should try atleast once to stay here to feel the real home. Actually we went to idukki to explore the places. But we didn't think to go out after reaching the home stay. It was so comfortable with the people and my kid loved to stay with people who were there in the home stay. She got one more grand parents. 😍

Honestly this might be the best place I've stayed so far!!! First of all, thank you to Joy, the beautiful mother!! Her food is the best food I've ever eaten. She made me very many different kerela classic meals and even prepared vegan food as I asked for it. I was even allowed to watch her and help her in the kitchen. She showed me how to make veg curry and dosa. I feel so lucky and geateful!! Now to Jose, the host: He is the kindest guy, he showed me all around Idduki and he really loves his village. He even helped me with some problems I had with my motorbike. Wherever I went, I could call him and he helped me. He's such a kind and goodhearted person and very loved and popular in his village!! Jose took me to some places around in his car and to a wonderful hike up a mountain, too! I hope to see you again!!! Thanks so much for everything and take care xx

The family was friendly and welcoming. The location is serene (in between the mountains).It was really nice to sleep listening the sound of water falls. The location is around 2 km from Thadiyambad bus stop. They provided homely food which was excellent. The host (Lijo) himself interested in travelling and hiking and he took us to some remote hill near his home for hiking, from where we could capture the panoramic view of idukki dam and mountains. He also suggested many other remote places which we couldn't cover this time. The place is excellent to rest and relax. We would definitely consider staying with him again.
