The fine print
Based on local tax laws, Peruvian citizens (and foreigners staying more than 59 days in Peru) must pay an additional fee of 18% .To be exempt from this 18% additional fee (IGV), a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented.
Please note both documents are required for fee exemption. Guests who are not able to present both documents will be required to pay the fee.
Foreign business travelers who require a printed invoice, will also be charged the additional 18% regardless of the length of their stay in Peru. This fee is not automatically calculated in the total costs for the reservation.

Beautiful place and good location, but the staff was not so kind and the room and bathroom were dirty (with sand). I got a last minute reduced price so it was worth it.

We had an amazing time staying at La Casa de Bamboo. The rooms were very cozy. They turned down the music at 10 which allowed us to get a good night sleep. We also booked the two hour sandboarding trip through the hostel and we werent disappointed. The trip took even a little longer then two hours so we could enjoy the sunset in the dessert. After the trip they allowed us to take a shower even though we had already checked out. Very nice staff!

It was all fine, everything you need. Not too special. The pool is nice but very small and only two sunbeds. Breakfast was good!

The room was quite comfortable, view was over the ground floor, and towards the lake. Food was excellent as was the service.

We loved the shared space with the Bamboo theme! Very well presented and decorated keeping to the theme! The location was a street behind the lake which meant that it was definitely the quieter option for sleeping. Lounge music here was turned off at a good time, 10pm. Loved having a pool to cool down in as very hot here during the day. We loved the breakfast scrambled egg, bread, jam, coffee and juice. Delicious and filling! On check out, we were getting picked up at 7am when breakfast starts, we asked if they could prepare a breakfast to go which they kindly arranged for us. We also enjoyed a vegetarian burger and chips here which were a great portion and price! Staff are friendly and helpful.

the restaurant had excellent options with vegetarian options. delicious veggie curry. the hours are great. the room is roomy and has a ceiling fan which made it bearable to sleep in the heat of desert. shower stall is huge. staff is friendly and accommodating. when asked, they prepared the snack bag instead of buffet breakfast. location is quite perfect, close to dune access and close to the lagoon however it is quite farther away from the parties which makes this hotel perfect for travellers preferring quiet area.

Located very close to the oasis, this hostel has a lovely atmosphere - the restaurant, swimming pool and common area were relaxing and welcoming. The staff is also nice. The food at the restaurant was super tasty and at a good price! They also offer tours.
