Ryokan Overview

Boasting spacious natural hot spring baths and sand foot-bath, Ibusuki Syusui-en offers chic Japanese-style accommodation. JR Ibusuki Station is just a 5-minute drive away, and free shuttles are available between 14:00 and 15:00 with an advance reservation. The public area offers free Wi-Fi, and free parking is available on site.
Fitted with large windows that offer plenty of sunlight, rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) flooring and traditional futon bedding. Guests can unwind in yukata robe, sipping green tea and watching satellite channels on a flat-screen TV. A bath tub and toiletries are included in the en suite bathroom.
Guests at Ibusuki Syusui-en are welcomed with a cup of matcha tea and Japanese sweets. They can receive aromatic massages, or enjoy shopping at the on-site gift shop. Some hot spring baths can be reserved for private use at an additional fee.
Mount Kaimon-dake is a 25-minute drive away, and Lake Ikeda is a 35-minute drive from the property. Kagoshima Airport is about a 2-hour drive or bus ride away. Saraku’s sand baths can be enjoyed within a 3-minute walk.
Award-winning Japanese-style multi-course meals are prepared with seasonal ingredients and local delicacies, and served in the spacious dining room.

The food at dinner and breakfast was exceptional- couldn’t ménage full breakfast but quality was super! All staff great and the staff member looking after our stay Sarin (?) was so wonderfully caring and attentive/ - many thanks!
