The staff was great. After a few days they knew where we liked to sit at breakfast and what kind of coffee we wanted, so they had it ready for us. And the location is perfect, very private but still right next to everything.

Best location on the island, 4 mins walk from ferry port and smack bang in the town. Free water topped up daily. Breakfast was fantastic, and served until nice and late (loved the Greek yoghurt and fresh orange juice), loved the old-world feel of the hotel and the character of the rooms. A special shout out to the GM, who (after me emailing worried about the firm beds) put a lot of pillows and a softer mattress topper on the bed :)

Bratsera is a nice hotel located 5 minutes away from the port, which gives you easy access to almost anything. If you have big luggage, I would recommend a place closer to the port. The breakfast they have is super delicious and the design of the hotel is unique. Located in an old typical building, it has maintained all the antique details. We really loved that! And the staff were always helpful and kind. We came for our friend's wedding and stayed for 5 nights to take in the island, which is gorgeous. To be honest, I wouldn't choose Bratsera again only because their prices are insane and it's not a fair deal. The only explanation I have found for their fares is the fact that it is the only hotel on the island with a pool. We didn't use it once, the sea is great and their beaches quite special. So bear in mind that and choose wisely!

The staff and general facilities are lovely but my room, for the price was small, dark and disappointing. I'd seen photos of fabulous room online and could see they have some but mine was sadly lacking.

We loved our stay at the centrally located Bratsera Boutique Hotel and will stay here again without question. The staff couldn't have been more helpful; breakfast was a real treat, and the atmosphere around the whole hotel was friendly and relaxed. The pool was just an added bonus.

Fantastic, spacious and cool room (in 35c heat). Staff very friendly and allowed us to use the pool while waiting for check-in. A true oasis of calm right in the centre of Hydra town, and a rare find with no stairs to get to the property!
