First of all, the staff (and probably the owner) is amazing. This guy is so kind, even offered to keep our luggage after the checkout because our ferry was departing a couple of hours later. Also, the terrasse on top the building is amazing ! The room has space and a nice balcony right above the street. It was clean. The beds are comfortable but the sheets were a bit of a mess after being in bed for 5 minutes, and in the morning your sheets might not be on your bed anymore. You have a fridge with water, and everything you need to make tea and coffee for free. The bathroom is okay, not fond of the shower curtains, they are very close and can stick to you sometimes which is quite unpleasant. Water can be spilled everywhere in the bathroom too so be careful when you shower. Overall, for the price (because Hydra is expensive) it's fine and I recommend.

Lovely; owner, room and fabulous location, a beautiful balcony. The help-yourself coffee at the reception is a nice touch. Staff lovely, they fixed a temperamental door key, and when the roof leaked one night they changed the room for my daughter. You need to add your key to the key holder inside the room to get electricity to work. It took me a while to figure this out!

Simple, traditional rooms with more charm than you’ll find on the mainland. Really helpful staff who make sure you have a ‘base’ on the island from the moment you land until it’s time for you to leave (early check-in on arrival - at no extra charge - and having somewhere to store my luggage until the boat departed & use a loo on my last day was great). Great location - close to the port and the shops & restaurants. Highly recommend.

Lovely old building just a short walk from the ferry. They let us check in early. Our room had a little balcony and everything was comfortable and clean.

The location is very central, just next to the best bars, restaurants, coffee shops -- literally few meters away. The port is also very close. // The room is very clean and is being cleaned every day, including fresh towels every day (the latter is really necessary, as the whole bathroom gets wet after taking a shower and rhe towels don't dry out till the next day). It is very nice and practical that there is a fridge, electric cattle and cups in the room. There's also a welcome bottle of water and some tea bags and coffee sticks from the house. // The mattress is very good. We appreciated a real double bed (not two single beds pushed together). // There is a very nice shared terrace with stunning views, as well as a shared kitchen on the rooftop of the hotel. We didn't use the kitchen though.
