Location is great , microbus waiting you Infront of the hotel to drive you to the beach which isn't far away , just 10 minutes walk , we walked to the sandy beach many times, no corals to snorkel but ok for swimming . The swimming pool is good with different heights suitable for all ages and the kids swimming pool also is good 65 cm is perfect for most of the children . Food quality is perfect although there isn't a lot of varieties but the quality is very very good , one of the times that I felt good after every meal ,as I am a doctor no need to take medications for flatulance or diarrhea, a lot of hotels in hurghada I felt sick after some meals , in this one I didn't. One of the best things is that its affordable price including the 3 meals was one of the reasons why I chose it this time. The owner & most of the workers are really very welcoming & hospitable. I really recommend Santa Maria as 3 star hotel for respectable travellers on low budget looking for excellent cost benefit

Room was cosy and clean. We are a mix-family (European-Egyptian) and we wanted a low-cost holiday and this hotel and the room was very homelike in a good way. The hotel is old especially from the outside but for us it was enough because inside was clean. There's only one restaurant and it's serving Egyptian food which was nice, maybe little more variety could be better each day as there's so much delicious traditional meals in Egypt. The staff was very friendly and helpful (housekeeping, pool, restaurant) and a special thanks to reception to Mr. Ehab for his hospitality and very good English speaking. All staff was making our stay easy and asking every day if there's anything they could do for us. The beach is near with free access and a shuttle bus, it's nice and it had very good food and drinks in the beach bar/restaurant. We chose this location as we've been living nearby before and going to city was not a problem for us as there's taxis driving beside the hotel all the time. It's also near the Egyptian museum which was a nice experience to visit too. Behind the hotel was also a small playground for kids and a garden.

The personnel in all the hotel are exceptionally good and very helpful. Front dest manager Mr. Ehab was amazing so the restaurant responsible Mohammed Ali. But all staff were very nice and friendly. Being on full board we tried all food and was surprisingly nice, especially the breakfast.

We had an absolutely amazing time. The room was spacious and spotless, with great décor. The restaurant buffet was delicious, with a huge variety of options! The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable.
