It was clean and modern. Nice lobby with Christmas decorations and friendly staff. Parking was plentiful and in front of the hotel. Location was good with facile reach to the Corvin castle and Train museum.

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting downtown Hunedoara.

We stayed in a superior double room, which was very spacious and very clean. The staff very friendly and helpful. We also took the property bikes for a ride around town, for free, which is a plus.

The best choice I made was to stay at Hotel Astoria located in a quiet tree lined area. Before I arrived all messages were answered in a friendly and often humerous way! From the moment I arrived I was welcome. I was very early but made to feel comfortable by the reception staff & offered coffee from the breakfast area. My room was truely outstanding in quality and a pleasure to be in. Amazing wall coverings and paintings with a multitude of lights to create the atmosphere. Air con was perfect with a choice of tea , coffee & bottled water and a variety of pillows to suit all! The room was delightfully quiet with excellent internet connection everywhere in the building. The Breakfast area is in the basement with the use of brick alcoves to create individual areas. All food types were catered for with a very wide selection of cooked food and for myself cerals, honey and yoghurt with a selection of cheese and meats. The hotel shuttle met me and returned me to the railway at a fair cost.The English speaking driver was outstanding helpful and excellent company on the 30 minute drive. The location is perfect with just a short stroll though the (presently completing re-styling) square to the fabulus Corvin castle. Do revisit in the late afternoon as the setting sun highlights the incredible structure. Thanks to all staff, especially those on Reception and who reply to messages!
