It's super well situated, close to most things in the centre. It has many hang out areas, with sofas, pool and tenis tables, well stocked kitchen and large area to eat. It has a nice outdoor terrace with a bit of a view, though it could use a refurb and tidy. Though I haven't used it, there's a restaurant and climbing wall. It's a very social hostel with many travellers and hikers. And the staff were helpful with information about hikes, tours, buses and such.

It has a proper hostel atmosphere, with great beds and very clean and hot showers, great kitchen, great terrace and very delicious breakfast. Amazing vibe! but most of all, great host... Arti!!

If you want to meet other climbers, hikers or other quests, this is the place you want to stay in Huaraz. I spent almost 2 months in this hostel because of the nice atmosphere. Thanks for everything :)

The staff were super friendly and helpful. With me having little Spanish was easy to communicate and they were very helpful with any questions or requirements we were after. Good breakfast (milk, yogurt, coffee)

Clean and friendly environment. Nice location and good value. Love the CLIMBING WALL & resto-bar area. The helpful and friendly staff add to the warmth of the hostel.

Big mountain hostel is a very special place. What the owners have built here is outstanding! There even is a climbing wall that guests can use for free, located in the bar and restaurant, where they make the best espresso in Huaraz. There's also a ping pong table and a pool table free to use. The personal is super friendly, the beds very comfortable, each shared bedroom has its own bathroom with warm showers. Also the kitchen is very big and there is everything you need for cooking. And they clean the whole place every day, so the rooms and everything is really clean. It's a great place to meet many other nice people going on tours or climbing. A stay here is definitely a special experience!
