Montemar is a familyfriendly, safe, quiet and clean apart hotel. The place is a beautiful, green and colorful oasis close to the beach and next to the overlooking mountain. The owners, Edwin, his wife Gabriela, his brother George and their cute little dog Jagger, are very friendly and will make you feel welcome. The place has an interesting story dating back to the time of the Incas, and maybe even futher back. There are two swimmingpools, lots of sun-chairs and different outdoor spots to relax in and out of the sun. There is one big family room with a kitchen and the other rooms in different sizes all have fridges and comfortable beds. There is also a shared kitchen. Edwin or George often make a fire in the outdoor fireplace in the evenings, creating a cozy outdoor atmosphere under the moon and stars. They will happily show you their «one-match» fire-technique and share interesting stories.

A really nice, clean and peacefull place. We had 2 different rooms, because we stayed longer as we planed. Both were nice and clean. The two pools are great and extreamly clean. There is a nice kitchen you can use if you want. The place is greate located. Within a few meters you reach the sea. The bus just stops infront of the house. It is verry save and quiet. The beds are verry good. We enjoed our stay there. We could relax but also do some nice trips e.g. Chan Chan . The owners were very friendly and helped out with whatever we needed our wanted to know. Thanks for everything!

One of the best places we stayed in Peru. I highly recommend for peacefull and comfortable stay in Huanchaco. Place is beautifull, I loved every piece of the garden with lot of places to chill and relax. Swimming pool was super clean. Family is amazing and helped us with all information we needed, they care a lot about this place. Room was super cosy, hot water, good bed, very close to the beach and cool vegetarian restaurant. Thank you for amazing stay!!! :)

We stayed in the first floor apartment for 5 nights. It had a very good shower and a well equipped kitchen. Comfy beds. Balconies overlooking the pool. Pool was nice to relax in, and garden had plenty of loungers, seats and a hammock. Edwin, Gabby and Jorgi were all kind, helpful and responsive. We were able to check in early and use the facilities after checkout. Place is located a minute from the seafront, ten minute walk to the centre. Bus to/from Trujillo and Chan Chan passes right by.
