We only spent a night but the place was really lovely, well equipped and the view was lovely . We really enjoyed our stay and the host was very helpful to provide all information before our arrival . Self check-in was easy . The only negative thing was that we were not allowed to drive the car up the path to the cabin door, it made carrying the big luggage difficult as the path is not paved so it was impossible to pull the luggage to the cabin . Otherwise highly recommend this place .

The home and the location was wonderfull. Our 3 year old son is normally scared of dogs but he loved Mowi and Katla. He played every day with them. The dogs are so friendly to childeren and we enjoyed their company so much. Thank you Heima Holiday Homes for a great stay! I would recomment this place to everyone.

Exceptional location for a quiet retreat in rural Iceland. Still close enough to Selfoss for supplies so this wasn’t a problem. Staff/owners really helpful when needed.

This place is truly a hidden gem, nestled right in the middle of all the attractions, making it an ideal spot for anyone looking to explore the area. One of the highlights of my stay was the breathtaking view of the Aurora Boreal that you can enjoy right from the hotel. It's an absolutely magical experience that you won't want to miss. The scenery is simply fantastic and adds a special touch to the whole experience. Moreover, the hotel itself is incredibly quiet, providing a serene and peaceful environment that allows you to truly unwind and relax. The level of privacy is outstanding, making it a perfect retreat for anyone seeking some tranquility away from the hustle and bustle. I highly recommend this location for your next adventure. It's a place where you can immerse yourself in nature's wonders while still being close to all the attractions.

Excellent place to stay. Apartment in almost ‚new‘ state. Quiet and remote place as we wanted it to have. The owner‘s dogs super pleasantly welcoming us and played with the kids a lot.

Perfect location and not too far from Reykjavík. We had a pleasant stay and are already planning our trip back there :) The weather did not allow us to see aurora but the stars made up for it ! And omg the dogs were the friendliest of all dogs, they came by our cabin a lot and our son loved them. The place was clean and there were enough towels for our stay which we loved.

Place is really well equipped. It is one of the rare places with recycling and composting. The unit is large with windows oriented towards sunrise. It's among the places with the least light pollution if you want to see the northern lights (aurora). Their dogs are very friendly.
