Fantastic location alongside the lake and walking distance to old city centre of Hoorn. Also, fun to say you stayed in a former prison! The staff was wonderful! We visited for Ironman 70.3 Westfriesland and as participants this is highly recommended location.

Really enjoyed the waterline view also there’s a lift. The room was clean, no smells, fresh bed linen. I also thought breakfast was very good.

Unique conversion from a prison, well facilitated, friendly staff and well located. Free parking provided for guests. Museum and cinema in same building. Breakfast included in tariff.

I liked the idea of a repurposed building and staying in a prison on holiday …. Unfortunately I was shown an amazing room in ground level with prison doors all the works then told this wasn’t our room …… damn😂😂😂
