This was the 5th or 6th time I've stayed at the New Inn and I would always try here first if needing accommodation in the Hook/Basingstoke area. Last time was pre-covid and there has been a change of management since then. It used to be good and now it's even better: the food, the room, the helpful, friendly staff, decent cask ale at the bar; oh, and a pedestal fan in the bedroom that was so superior to any other we've ever experienced that I intend to get one like it for my own house. Can't wait for another excuse to visit 😄.

Staff very friendly and helpful...maybe a few more would.help. Long wait at dinner time as the staff that where there very busy. Menu was good. Food was lovely. Breakfast super nice

“Great location and setting. Extremely welcoming host and staff who make you feel right at home. The evening meal selection caters to everyone, with a variety of options to suit all tastes. Breakfast is equally impressive, ranging from continental choices to a hearty full English — the perfect start to the day. My personal favourite is the cheese and spinach omelette, topped with mushrooms — absolutely delicious!”
