We had the pleasure of staying five nights at Hotel Zomay on the beautiful island of Holbox, and it was an absolute dream! The rooms may not be the newest, but they have exactly the authentic charm you’d want for a relaxing beach getaway. Everything was very clean and well-maintained, and the proximity to the beach is unbeatable. What impressed us the most was the beautifully designed hotel grounds, full of tropical plants and cozy spots that create a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The entire team was incredibly friendly and welcoming—you can tell they love what they do. Ricardo was a fantastic host, providing us with lots of great tips and always happy to chat. The bar and restaurant staff were also very attentive and quick, making us feel right at home. The breakfast was a real highlight! Compared to many other hotels in Mexico, it was varied, delicious, and of great quality—a fantastic way to start the day. Hotel Zomay is the ideal place for anyone looking for a relaxing and authentic getaway on Holbox. The combination of a fantastic location, warm hospitality, and a laid-back atmosphere won us over completely. We would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend this hotel!

The location on the beach with the beach bar was a winner, although the beach is wider and the sea easier to access further along to the east. Sun loungers/daybeds etc with and without shade were available whenever we needed. When the building work was not happening next door, (Sunday) the atmosphere was very chill and peaceful by the rooms, even if the bar by the beach was playing music. WiFi was free and worked well. Breakfast was decent with selection from a menu, including some Mexican options. The staff were generally friendly. Air conditioning worked well.

the location was the best with an infant as it is very close to the sea and did not take much effort to spend the days. the staff (Carmen, Coco, Daniele) was very friendly and helpful to solve problems. the food and the drinks were good. the baby was happy over all and we also were. there were different musicians and djs at sunset on the beach. plenty of different spaces. birds singing.

Best place in Holbox! right on the beach, with cool bean bags, hammocks and beds, and relaxing atmosphere. in addition they have a huge garden with more than 50 palm trees. Nice cafe and bar, food was great and fresh! Staff is very friendly and helpful.

We just loved everything! it’s one of the nicest parts of the beach, close enough to the city Center but far enough from all the boats, also very clean beach. The bar and food was really high quality. they had very nice live music in the evening ( from violin player, jazz music to local or modern music). The stuff was very helpful, super polite and it was so much fun to talk to them. I was really happy with the room ( I just found the pillows quite hard, but that’s a very personal point of view). I can’t wait to stay there again!

I’m in love with this hotel. It’s directly at the beach front. Has very cosy cozy sun beds with umbrellas. The rooms are basic but on a very nice way and just fit perfectly into the vibe of the island. The food and service at the hotel is just the best! The stuff is so really friendly and helpful at any time. Also the restaurant of zomay has great food and cocktails. Anyway In the evenings zomay is the spot where half of the island comes to watch the sunset and sometimes they have some live music or DJs playing. Also a new coffee opened at zomay, so if you miss your cappuccino and a brownie the quality is really nice. We will definitely come again! A big thank you to zomay <3

They upgraded us when they heard we were traveling on our honeymoon. The beach club was nice. Our room had a big balcony which was great.

the stuff is super nice. thanks again gor helping me with my request! the beach area and the location of the hotel is also great. near enough to the centee yet enough away to have a calm and relaxed time. also they have nets all around the room so if you zre scaree of bugs like I am this is just great. thanks a lot. i will come back :-)
