A 5-minute drive from Hokitika Airport, Shining Star Beachfront Accommodation is 10 km from Lake Mahinapua. It is about a 2-hour drive from Franz Josef and Fox Glacier.

The size of the room was good and enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the farm animals. It’s walking distance to the Glow Warm dell and beach.

There was a path onto the beautiful beach which was a stone’s throw away from our lodge. We changed our booking to two nights close to our arrival and they were able to accommodate us but we had to switch lodges and the staff were very helpful in this process.

Close to beach and within walking distance of the town along quiet streets. The hut was big enough for 2 and had everything needed for a couple of nights.

Sally greeted us so warmly and with a fresh bottle of delicious milk for our morning coffees. Much appreciated! Shortly after we arrived, we set off to the beach for an amazing sunset. The location was literally across the street from the Glow-worm Dell which was a bonus given you have to view it at nighttime. Also, the beach is virtually at one's doorstep.

Cute but small half of a cabin. Straight across to the glow worms dell, and easy access to North end of town beach. Handy with an electric frypan for an omelette in the morning. Character filled log style cabin.
