We lived our stay at Amberlea B&B. The hosts, Sharon and Butch, were incredibly helpful, giving local recommendations and dishing up a lovely cooked breakfast. The rooms were clean and well-provisioned, and close to the town centre.

A short walk from the town centre, this B&B is perfectly located. The breakfast is wonderful, so many choices and plenty of food. The hosts are very welcoming and it an easy check-in.

The hosts Sharyn and Burch are lovely and were so kind to us, very helpfully allowing us to do some washing and to dry out our tent during our stay. The breakfast was excellent and it was lovely to chat to the other guests, the room was really comfortable and the shared bathroom was nice and clean with a great shower, also only shared with one other room so it was never long to wait if in use. The location was less than a 15 min walk from the centre of Hokitika too, a lovely stay all round!

Super friendly hosts, our kids loved the dogs. 10 min walk to Hokitika town, which is a cute little town. Very calm, nice to relax. Direct access to trail for walking, jogging or biking.

The room and bathroom were absolutely spotless. Very comfortable rooms with good amount of space. Sharyn and Butch are clearly experts at hosting after doing it for 25 years! We enjoyed chatting to them over breakfast the following morning - lovely people
