There were geckos in my room. I asked the receptionist to come help me, and he said, “Okay give me few minutes” but in the end, he never came. When I went back down, he was calmly sitting, chatting, and having a drink with some guests—he didn’t care about my problems at all. It was a resident who tried to reassure me. The lizard was making loud, horrible noises all night, and I slept terribly. Also, the hotel is hard to find; we had a lot of trouble with my Grab. On top of that, the key didn’t work, making it impossible to lock my door.

Raon Stay 24 is a compact hotel well located for both the old town in Hoi An and Cua Dai beach and the river. It’s comfortable but not opulent. Its standout feature is the quality of its staff who are inspiringly led by Chuck the hotel manager. The operation epitomises hospitality. Nothing is too much trouble. I stayed a month and feel one of the family. Free bicycle was an unexpected bonus.

Very clean, comfortable beds in a large bedroom with a large bathroom. Very good facilities. Mr. Viet and Ms. Tuyet went out of their way to help me numerous times. Highly recommend.

Breakfast is a little basic but perfectly adequate and very tasty. The staff are extremely helpful. The location is out of the centre of Hoi An which is why I booked it. It is useful to hire a scooter, they are extremely easy to drive and save a lot of effort walking/cycling. I was most impressed with the help of the staff and manager when I lost my wallet. I had taken a day trip out to Cham Island, arranged independently of the hotel, and discovered I had left my wallet on the island. The manager in particular was so helpful and wanted to do as much as possible to help me recover the wallet. This was quite a stressful situation but his manner, and suggestions, helped me be reunited with my wallet and all its contents the next morning. I am so grateful to all those involved in this. The hotel itself is something the manager is very proud of, and the attention to detail shows this. The pool is in a lovely, shaded area, the room was excellent quality and a high standard of cleanliness. I loved my 5 nights here and would definitely return.

The hotel is cleaner than what we have seen in Vietnam until now and the room is quite spations. The pool area was clean and the spa like music in the garden was a plus. The breakfast was goog and fullfilling and the staff was friendly.
