It is near Ben Thanh Market and walkable to most places in the city. It is slightly away from the main road so it is quieter. The night that Vietnam beat Thailand in football, there was continuous honking in the night along the main road. Thankfully we were slightly away. Staff is helpful in carrying our luggage on arrival and departure. They were friendly.

The hotel is comfortable and conveniently located close to markets and in the heart of the action. Walking distance to all main attractions. Room is basic but has everything you need. For breakfast you do need to walk up one flight of stairs it is basic but caters to all cultures cereal, bread with condiments, eggs (boiled and fried) pho noodles and rice. Would stay again

This hotel all be it very old has some positive points those being an excellent location near the big Saigon markets8 & the staff always answer with a smile. Being an older style hotel problems can always be an issue due to age but credit where credit is due on mentioning the few problems we had they were fixed or tried to fix straight away. Mainly the mattress had to be changed and the shower spray in the bath tub replaced as was loose and non directional so spilling on the floor. Still some over spray on floor that maintenance needs to fix. A screen maybe not shower curtain so no run off from sides of the bath. Note even with new bed ultra firm. The rooms ours had a street view balcony & were freshly painted. They are a reasonable size, clean and have air con, good wifi, mini fridge, desk with chair, 2 sofa chairs, good hot water & cable tv all be it only 2 or 3 foreign entertainment channels. No news channels. A lift services all seven floors so no stairs to worry about & a light breakfast included on the 8th floor. Be wary of laundry services & at 40,000 vnd a kg does not include ironing. If want an iron from house keeping no problem but they have no ironing board. A special thank you again to staff especially Edison & Nhung & our housekeeper Truc. I hope spelt right. Your efforts allow this hotel to achieve a much higher rating even though it is starting to show age. In closing we like Ho Chi Minh. (Saigon) Nha Trang, Hoi An and Hanoi but like our home Bali & other countries rubbish is a problem. When will people learn. Don't drop it Bin it. Please care 4 Mother Earth.

The location of this hotel is the only reason to book it. The staff were actually really nice and provided me with an extra room card so I could keep the aircon running, otherwise the room was like an oven (top floor, I think room 709)
