Hissar Spa Hotel is set in one of the most famous parks of Hisarya, surrounded by hot mineral springs. The property is located 170 km from Sofia and 45 km from Plovdiv. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.

We haven’t been here in the summer, but in the winter it’s very peaceful and uncrowded. The large outdoor pool is closed during the off-season, but the hotel has several indoor pools with mineral water. Each pool has a different temperature, ranging from hot to cool. There’s also a park next to the hotel. A great place to relax, highly recommended.

Overall well maintained ex-soviet hotel. The garden and outdoor pools steal the show. Iron sculptures all around, a small park near by for walking after the sauna. Lots of parking space. The restaurant Nacional is excellent!

The whole property has a kind of “socialist times” ambience, but it was honestly renovated, the swimming pool, sauna, steam bath and the hot open-air pool are very comfortable and accessible. The breakfast is very good as well. The stuff was friendly and helpful. The breathtaking monuments of ancient Roman town Diocletianopolis are 10-15 min walk and definitely worth a visit. Mineral water springs in the town are also not far and look very special.

The outside pools were great, especially the hot mineral pool. The building might be a little old but everything is recently renovated and it's a very interesting space to explore.

The outdoor pool is one of the best in the area. Breakfast is excellent. The sauna and steam room looked nice (we were there in the height of summer, but for winter that would have been great). Nice view from the roof.
