Rooms were comfy! Took a little while to heat up but it was -6°C this weekend so very understandable! To make up for it, I was given an additional space heater. The coffee and biscuit station was very good and there was an actual mini fridge which I feel is rare these days! It had still and sparkling water and a small bottle of semi skimmed milk. I was in 308 and it was a very interesting layout with a small landing leading you around a wall to the rest of the room, giving an extra bit of privacy. I imagine the restaurant was lovely as per the other reviews, but I ended up going for a Chinese across the road which was good! Additionally, the hotel WiFi reached that far across haha

The staff in all areas, from check in to restaurant were all very helpful and pleasant. We stayed in one of the named period rooms which had loads of character. The evening meal was reasonable value, especially as we were given a drink voucher and discount on the food bill.

we had dinner 1 night and breakfast for 2 mornings all was adequate. The room we stayed in was way too hot - room 111.

Amazingly tranquil hotel with lots of key features to it, the staff were very approachable and friendly, the breakfast included was perfect, thank you for making our family stay an easy and pleasurable experience 😀
