The owners were super nice and friendly. The cabins were clean and very cozy. The tap room was great to enjoy a glass of wine and or beer. It felt like home!!

The Black Elk Resort was perfect for our trip. Very conveniently located to area attractions: Mount Rushmore, Keystone and Hill City, Custer State Park (we went 3 times) and we also went to the Badlands and Wind Cave National Parks. Also there's a lovely access to part of the Centennial Trail (look for sign for Samelius Trail) less than a mile down the street (towards Keystone). Nice cabin with 2 bedrooms and a small kitchen, and there's also a tap room to get a beer or hang out, and a nice area in the middle for playing cornhole and sitting by the fire. Super well-maintained and the staff were all excellent. We recommend it!
