Pearl Island Beach Hotel absolutely deserves its high rating. It was by far the best stay during our 2.5-week tour around Sri Lanka. The beach is literally right at your doorstep, and the kitchen is amazing—especially the tandoori chicken wrap, it’s a must-try. Peter and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. Plus, for what you get, it’s an absolute steal—totally worth every cent!

Literally steps away from the beach. Extremely large King bed, good AC. Though not very elaborate, the breakfast was still great with fresh fruits, choice if American or Sri Lankan delicacies and tea/ coffee. Pool and beach umbrellas provided. Room very clean. Surroundings and verandah cleaned thoroughly each day. Location very close to the awesome Turtle beach

I had just not long arrived in Sri Lanka and I sprained my ankle. The management and staff here were amazing, very, very helpful. We loved it so much once we’d arrived we wanted to stay for longer but it was fully booked but they managed to squeeze us in and for one extra night they upgraded us to a beautiful huge room looking out to the sea. We were blown away by their kindness. The food was also delicious especially the Sri Lankan breakfast. We will be back.

We had the pleasure of staying at Pearl Island Beach Hotel for five incredible nights, and it was absolutely perfect! The rooms were clean, and the breakfast was delightful. The location? Unbeatable! Being literally on the beach, we loved spending our evenings on the balcony, soaking in the sound of the waves - a truly serene experience. What truly set this place apart, though, was the amazing atmosphere and exceptional staff. Every team member was a perfect blend of professionalism and friendliness, creating an environment that felt welcoming and effortless. The vibe was just right - not overly pretentious but warm, relaxed, and inviting. It felt like a little slice of paradise. This hotel has everything we could hope for, and we can’t wait to return to this gem of a place. Highly, highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic beach getaway in Hikkaduwa.

We're a family of 8 ranging from 4years to 82years and it was excellent for all of us Good facilities, easy access to beach, excellent staff, perfect all around. Also across the road from a little convenience store which is useful

The staff were very kind and helpful with any request. Bobby who is the manager and the owner Peter went out of their way to make sure my friend and I had everything we needed. The rooms are spacious and clean. The beach is just outside the rooms with a nice infinity pool. The breakfast is so good! I suggest you request the Sri Lankan breakfast. This part of the beach is very quite and away from busy hostels down the beach. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the waves crashing. I will certainly be back.

Superb stay staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was exceptional and we wanted to extend our stay as we loved it so much but sadly there was no space left,no wonder it's so popular!! Thank you, especially to Peter and Lucas, awesome hosts.
