This spot is right on the beach with only a short walk to one of the best snorkeling spots in Sri Lanka where we swam with turtles for hours. The host is very welcoming and informative and interesting to talk to. We stayed on the top floor with access to the balcony overlooking the beach which was such a treat and we could enjoy sipping champaign while admiring the sunset over the horizon. The room was spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Good value for money.

We really enjoyed our stay. We got room #1, which is a big room upstairs. It's facing a big terrace and the sea. The room was big with a double bed with mosquito net, a closet with a safe, a mirror, bed tables, and a fridge. The room has both a ceiling fan and AC. The shower had hot water. The lady and young man who works there are very friendly. We were asked daily if we wanted cleaning. The breakfast is the typical Sri Lankan breakfast with toast, jam, coffee/tea, fruit, eggs, and curd. There was plenty of food, and it was served with a smile by the lady and young man. The hotel is literally at the beach, and there are about 6 sunbeds with parasols. It's a 10 min walk to Turtle Beach where we saw giant turtles. We ate lunch 3 times at a nearby restaurant (The Den), which had great food. All shops, restaurants, and bars are just outside the hotel on the main road. We definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

Siri has been such an amazing host. He made sure that all of his guests are comfortable and looked after. He’s so relaxed and calm that made my stay the same. One of his staff (I forgot the name) she gave the guests Kiribath for breakfast from her home that she prepared. It’s a typical food they prepare for the first day of the year. If I will be given a chance to come back, I will come back to Blue Ocean Villa again. Perfect relaxation by the beach on a budget.

Blue Ocean Villa is amazing! The owner is personable, caring and will do everything to make your stay as comfortable as it can be. The rooms are large with comfortable beds, good fridge and good air conditioning. They’re regularly cleaned and the entire place is spotless and home-like. The location is unbelievable and directly on the beach with great access. Overall, a great stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hikkaduwa!
