My partner and I recently enjoyed two relaxing days at the Thatch House. The welcome and service was wonderful and we could see that all the staff had been well trained. Our room was beautifully decorated and was quiet as it faced the mountain. We look forward to visiting again soon.

The breakfast was phenomenal. Fruit and muesli and hot breakfast was offered. Staff were very attentive and very professional and friendly. The view over the lagoon is breathtaking. The dining room is warm with lit fires all day and night.

The thatch house felt like a home away from home! Such friendly staff, amazing food, absolutely stunning location!! We enjoyed the hot tub on the lagoon in the evening!

Very special place. Like many others in South Africa - specially in Garden Route - the staff was specially careful and nice. It was our honeymoon and they manage to guarantee everything, including a boat ride from Gansbaai. The property is absolutely beautiful, and the city of Hermanus is a very special destination to enjoy.

The rooms are absolutely beautiful, extremely spacious and very homely. The hotel itself is very intimate, no rowdy guests or staff. Food was amazing and staff incredibly friendly.
