The breakfast was just continental . There was a choice of cereal & offer of toast & croissant. Would have liked a choice of a cooked breakfast

Check in was over the phone to access a key safe outside the main building, but only took 2 mins. The rooms were of a good size but were just a bit dated in terms of fittings and decor - a light renovation would be good. This applies to the bathroom as well. The room was nice and warm and had usual facilities. There was some noise from the room, above in terms of footstep’s, until midnight. There is a short walk across a courtyard for breakfast and both full English and continental were very good. Would definitely stay again when visiting Hemel Hempstead or London (25 mins on train to Euston) from nearby train station (500 yards).

The room was very good and comfortable although needed some updating. Disappointing that no meals were available other than an excellent breakfast.

We arrived very late and got the jet from the codes lockers. Room was cosy and warm with lots of hot water for a bath in a surprisingly nice bathroom. Rare to get a bath these days. The birdsong in the morning was super too. Easy, clean, comfy and great value.

Location was great but the hotel and grounds are looking a bit dated, it seems they have lost the drive required to operate a business

The Boxmoor looked to be in some sort of renovation, this was the reason for my overall score. The breakfast was good, the staff very pleasant and helpful and the room was very clean and comfortable with all necessary conveniences for the price. The parking was good, it was ideal for the reason for our visit, 5 minute walk to the rail station which meant good access to London.
