Hostel Overview

The Yard Hostel is centrally located in Helsinki, just a 5-minute walk from Helsinki Central Station. This hostel offers dormitory rooms as well as private rooms. Free WiFi is available.

You will receive an email with your door codes and instructions for check-in on the morning of your arrival. You will need these to get into the building and check in.
The property's courtyard will undergo a façade renovation from the 15th of May until the 31st of October 2024. During this, the windows in the rooms facing the courtyard will be covered. The works will not take place in the early hours, late evenings or on the weekends. The hostel remains open as usual during the renovations.Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.

Second time staying here and it’s definitely a good pick if you’re staying in Helsinki and you are solo i highly recommend staying here they also have a boarded explaining what’s on in the area which is helpful when wanting socialise.. thank you see you again very friendly and helpful staff. :)

Love it, was few mins walk from the train station and within the city centre. The female staff was very friendly at the reception. The hostel has a lovely homely feel to it.

Excellent central location, very clean, modern room with curtains and plugs etc. We got the room to ourselves which was nice too even though there was an extra bed.

Clean and cozy, stayed in a private room so I can't say anything about the dormitories, but the twin room lived up to our expectations. We only stayed one night, but if we'd stayed longer, the lounge and kitchen seemed useful as well as the activity recommendations.

The staff (not here all day) was very friendly. I only interacted with the same person for my whole stay (half Finnish half Dutch girl) and she was super lovely and full of good advices. The lounge room is cozy and cute. There is a kitchen cooking area that I did not use. I got the single room (I think the only one) which has no window but I was aware of that and it was spacious enough, came with a desk and close to bathroom and toilets. The location is just perfect as you are right in the middle of Helsinki with public transports right down the street. Bathrooms were clean.
