Hotel Overview

Established in 1887 as Finland's grand hôtel, Hotel Kämp is located in the heart of Helsinki opposite the beautiful Esplanade park. The hotel features 179 spacious rooms, 15 of which are luxurious suites.
The spacious rooms combine historical elegance with high-quality facilities. All rooms feature comfortable beds, marble bathrooms and Chromecast-streaming systems. Guests can order in-room dining and enjoy the lovely view over the park, the city or the inner courtyard. Access to the exquisite Upper Lounge is included for guests staying in the Executive rooms and the Suites.
The French-influenced Brasserie Kämp offers a buffet breakfast and seasonal delicacies in a classical ambiance. The a la carte menu boasts a wide range of European dishes and an extensive list of beverages. The Afternoon Tea at Brasserie Kämp is amongst the finest in Helsinki. Kämp bar offers delicious drinks and an all-day dining menu.
Kämp spa features a traditional Finnish sauna, eucalyptus-scented steam bath, well-equipped gym, and a spa lounge with heated divans. Personal training services are available and massages and treatments can also be booked.
The South Harbour, Senate Square and Uspenski Cathedral are just a 6-minute walk from the hotel. The Aleksanterinkatu shopping street can be found 300 metres away.

We liked everything. Our room was cosy; it was the first time when I felt at home in a hotel. I tried SPA treatments, and they were on a good level, too. The staff was polite, friendly, and helpful. We came right after Christmas, and the hotel was beautifully decorated. So many things have been included, which is what to be expected from a 5-star hotel: shower cap, soft bath robes and slippers, bath salts, nice capsule coffee machine (we didn't use though). The breakfast was very nice with good selection and food quality. I particularly liked old-styled porridge with dry fruits (I didn't try such before, but I'm pretty sure it's how it tasted when the hotel was founded 137 years ago) and that tasty cappuccino was included into the price.

Centrally located. Beautiful hotel currently undergoing renovation but this doesn’t impact the overall services and enjoyment, no loud machines etc, just slightly hidden entrance and less than scenic outlook from some windows. Staff, cleanliness, rooms, food etc are all outstanding.

The wonderful staff went over and above to help us at all times, including suggestions for restaurants (and then booking), making sure we were familiar with the hotel and the surrounding area, but generally.....super friendly and efficient.
