The Hotel-Restaurant Hackteufel provides a cosy and traditional ambience in the most historic part of Heidelberg. There was an inn on this site as far back as the 16th century.

We stayed in the Junior apartment, beautiful, spacious, clean, elegant and the views were awesome. Apartment was quiet with its own balcony. The staff were some of the best we have seen.

Centre of the Old town on a quintessential cobblestone street 100 metres from the river at one end and the town square at the other. Rooms were spacious and very clean, with a good sized seating area and bathroom. Breakfast was fantastic, a large variety of fresh hot and cold choices. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This is a fantastic hotel, it is located perfectly in the old town; near restaurants, shops, cultural locations and the castle. The staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. The hotel is warm, comfortable and well maintained, the room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was super with a selection of breads, cheeses, meats alongside eggs, fruit yoghurts and more. Very filling and tasty.

Right in the center of the old town. Christmas markets and transport close by too. Our room had views of the castle and breakfast was great. Eating in the restaurant for dinner was excellent too. Lots of character

Very large apartment with great facilities. Right in the heart of the city and 100 metres to the Christmas Market. Food at the restaurant is good, authentic German.
