I had the pleasure of staying at the Zarafa in Hazyview for two nights, and I could have easily extended my stay for a week if time permitted. The experience was flawless, with exceptional attention to detail that truly set it apart. The villa was absolutely stunning, offering complete privacy to enjoy the pool, dine on the gazebo, and unwind in a serene setting with breathtaking views, all while being completely isolated from any noise or distractions. The bathroom was equally impressive, featuring a spacious his-and-her vanity, a bath stocked with an array of luxurious salts and gels, and a large, well-appointed shower. Dinner was a standout experience – a five-course meal that would satisfy even the heartiest of appetites. As a fine dining chef, I must say that every dish was executed to perfection. Barrie, the owner, went above and beyond to personally introduce himself to all the guests. He made sure everyone felt welcome and took extra care to accommodate any special requests. He even arranged an early breakfast pack and provided binoculars for our early game drive. If you have the opportunity to stay at Zarafa and choose not to, you’re truly missing out on an exceptional experience that goes far beyond just a place to stay. As an added bonus, we were lucky enough to spot the resident giraffe during our stay. Barrie shared that she sometimes drinks from the pool, although she didn’t do so while we were there.

Our stay at The Zarafa was excellent. Barry and his staff were amazing and they all went the extra mile to make our stay extra special. Breakfast and dinner was so good. The Zarafa is really a place to unwind and to relax. What a wonderful Place!

Zarafa has undoubtedly been one of the best places we've ever stayed. It's the perfect getaway for couples—private, luxurious, and incredibly special. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to ensure maximum comfort and relaxation. The food was exceptional, earning a well-deserved 10/10, and the service was equally flawless. Barrie was an outstanding host, and Karabo, along with the entire team, went above and beyond to make our stay even more memorable. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

An absolute unique and lovely place, for me travelling a lot on high standard this was still among the top three places I stayed in my life. Berrie is the perfect host, Talking care of the guests at all time, giving advises,…. I wish we booked longer, should habe stayed there a week

We stayed here for 1 night before travelling to Sabi Sands and wished we’d stayed a few nights. The location is stunning in private grounds of a farm/coffee plantation. The set up of the villas is very Asian influence and just beautiful grounds that made it feel we were at the most luxurious of places. We loved the that our villa had a private pool, a separate living room and outside eating area

We loved the interior. It reminded us of our recent holiday in Bali. It matched a lot of the upmarket lodges in Bali. The food was excellent.
