The food, both breakfast and evening meal, were excellent. Friendly staff and bar was nice. Also hawkeshead is a lovely village

Breakfast was very good. Our only problem with the room was that it was at the top of the building and as my husband is not great on his legs as he is an 83 year old man. But maybe I should have thought about this when I booked but as we stayed years ago I was not expecting any problems but we did manage. The service was good otherwise.
