Location is lovely. Just a short walk from the quaint village of Hawkshead. A short drive from Ambleside which is also beautiful.

It suited us nice and quiet and an easy walk to evening meals. Didn't meet hosts so not applicable. Plenty of books and games for wetter days. Shower in ensuite particularly good.
