Lodges Overview

Located at Craggy Range Giants Winery in Havelock North, in the heart of New Zealand's Hawke's Bay, the Luxury Vineyard Retreat houses both Cottages and Lodges at this property and offering self-catering and self-contained boutique accommodation as well as a luxury food and wine experience with on-site Cellar Door and Restaurant.
The 1- or 2-bedroom cottages can be found nestled amongst the vines. The newly refurbished Cottages have well-appointed kitchenettes and living areas, air conditioning and free-standing wood burners. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. Laundry facilities, satellite TV and complimentary WiFi are also included. Continental breakfast provisions are included for cottages and replenished daily. Luxury Lodges feature an ensuite in each bedroom with large walk-in wardrobes, a spacious open plan living and a chef's kitchen. The living areas offer views to Tuki Tuki River valley with a welcoming fireplace. Providing a private courtyard with uninterrupted views of Te Mata Peak, lush lawns, and gardens. Gourmet cooked and continental breakfast provisions are included and replenished daily.
The on-site restaurant, a recipient of two hats and the coveted title of Winery Restaurant of the Year in the Cuisine Good Food Awards. This 2-bedroom Cottage is more spacious than the Vineyard cottages and features an en suite bathroom in each bedroom as well as a private terrace. The lounge area features satellite TV and a free standing wood burner. A fully equipped kitchen and dining table, laundry facilities and complimentary WiFi are also provided. Continental breakfast provisions are replenished daily.

The River Lodges offer two bedrooms each with an en suite bathroom fitted with a shower and bath. Each villa has a dressing area and a private patio to each of the rooms. There are living and dining areas, including an outdoor dining area and a full-equipped kitchen with views of Tukituki River. The private courtyard is equipped with an outdoor fireplace offering views of Te Mata Peak.

Guests will have a special experience as this villa provides a fireplace. Boasting a private entrance, this air-conditioned villa includes 1 living room, 2 separate bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a walk-in shower and a hairdryer. The well-fitted kitchenette has a stovetop, a refrigerator, a dishwasher and kitchenware. Featuring a terrace with garden views, this villa also offers a washing machine and a flat-screen TV with streaming services. The unit has 2 beds.

Overall we loved our stay . Maybe improve on Breakfast :- Daily morning fresh bread More milk Bacon quality was a little thick cut ( could be just different to Aussie thin and crispy )

We stayed in one of the cottages in the grounds of the cellar door/restaurant complex. It was just beautiful - very comfortable and well appointed. We loved everything about it, apart from the breakfast provisions. (See explanation below.)

Location in the vines was beautiful. Vine tasting was an added bonus and having an excellent restaurant on site was great as well. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Definitely would recommend
