Located in the picturesque village of Hathersage, 10 miles from Sheffield, The George offers free WiFi.
Formerly a 500-year-old inn, this Derbyshire hotel in the heart of the Peak District offers rooms featuring contemporary décor, with a seating area and TV, and en suite bathroom with complimentary toiletries.
Guests can enjoy a full English breakfast each morning in the on-site restaurant.
The George is 11 miles from Sheffield. National Trust - Lyme Park, House and Garden is 20.6 miles from the hotel, and guests can visit the Ladybower Reservoir within a 10-minute drive.

This standard double room comes with a private bathroom, TV, free Wi-Fi and tea/coffee making facilities. Some double rooms are located overlooking the rear of the hotel with some are located on the ground floor. Additionally, some of our standard doubles are bath over shower and some shower only. All rooms are subject to availability. Please call directly for any preferences or queries.

We are huge dog fans here and selected rooms are dog friendly. Please contact us directly if you wish to bring your dog with you. Superior room was spacious and comfortable, a little cold though despite the radiator getting hot. Great to have onsite parking, though larger modern cars do make the manoeuvring space a little tight. Interesting range of options on the breakfast menu. Very pleasant bar, restaurant and public areas.

We go there for a weekend away at the beginning of December. We have always loved it there. Christmas atmosphere. Beautiful rooms, clean, cosy and the food has always been very good.
