Set in the heart of the Peak District National Park, Millstone Country Inn is within a 15-minute drive of Chatsworth House, Ladybower Dam and the Blue John caves. Free Wi-Fi is provided, as well as free on-site parking.

We were made very welcome as soon as walked in and booked straight in and sorted out pet confirmation and breakfast perfectly. Very warm and welcoming with open fires and snug lighting. Room was perfect for our walking trip. Comfy sofas in front of fire. Evening meal very tasty (Their special pies). Breakfast was very good and friendly server. All in all a great couple of days.

Claire is the most wonderful landlady. She is welcoming, warm, flexible, adaptable and accommodating in every way. I would not hesitate to recommend the Millstone whilst it is under her guidance. I would also like to mention the Chef who kept the kitchen open and waited for us all to arrive and get settled: we had travelled up from Gloucestershire to be with our daughter who is working at Bike and Boot but didn’t finish her shift until 3pm. So the chef had to wait until 4.30to serve us. So many thanks to him too for his kindness and ability to be flexible.

It was located in an idyllic and tranquil location, a ten minute drive from the Padley Gorge National Trust for hikers. I thought the staff (in particular, Claire if I recall her name correctly) were really friendly, attentive to my needs and I felt really welcomed there. The room, shower and toilet facilities more than fulfilled my needs and after a long journey from London to Sheffield after work, I really had a restful night. I had a soya burger meal and a packed veggie sausage sandwich to take for the hike and both were really yummy meals. Thank you for keeping this tired traveller happy.
