Inns Overview

The Boar’s Head, our beautiful traditional Coaching Inn situated at the heart of the Ripley Castle Estate, within easy access of Harrogate. Converted from an original Coaching Inn and furnished with many paintings and antiques from Ripley Castle.
With 23 individual bedrooms, a welcoming Bar, Snug and formal Dining Room serving seasonal menus with local produce, in a relaxed atmosphere within luxurious and historic surroundings. A perfect place for couples, families and your four legged friends.
There are a limited number of Dog Friendly rooms available. Call us directly before booking to ensure a dog friendly room is available for your desired date. Please note there is a dog charge of £20.00 per dog, per night.

We stayed in the inn which was cozy warm & welcoming. The bath was huge enough to have a good relaxing soak. We had an evening meal in the candle lit restaurant where the waiter went above & beyond to please his diners. The breakfast was outstanding & my husband just had to try my vegetarian black pudding. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were friendly & approachable.

Absolutely love this hotel. In fabulous location and always a very warm welcome . Rooms are spacious and each room individual we stayed in Cathedral room in main house. Food in bistro excellent. We can’t wait to visit again soon.

The Boars Head is in a lovely village location. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The food was good, pub food rather than restaurant type. The drinks are typical hotel prices. The courtyard rooms are large and comfortable.

Lovely location, lovely food, lovely room. We visited Ripley Castle, highly recommended. We had both evening meal and breakfast at the hotel which were very tasty. Staff friendly and helpful.

We had a nice pre-Christmas stay here and visited Knaresborough and the Christmas Market in Ripley Castle. The room was warm, very comfortable and had everything we needed.
