Beautiful hotel, excellent location, great free parking. It's an old building so you get the sounds of the house / floorboards. The bed was a bit short for us, but that would be our only complaint.

We have stayed at the cairn many times, and can see over the years the gradual decline of the hotel. Curtains in the rooms are almost transparent, and with the lighter mornings, the sunrise is an unwelcome alarm clock. Showers still have plastic curtains that cling as soon as they are wet. You can tell that the breakfasts are being made with cheaper ingredients. However, the staff are still as friendly and helpful as ever.

Great value hotel in Harrogate. Huge car park which is a bonus. I checked in very late as I was in town for a wedding. They rang to check with me and the reception is open 24 hours. Room was ok and price was great value.

Great location. The staff were really friendly. We were able to park the car in the morning which allowed us to explore beautiful Harrogate before checking in. A lovely, quiet spacious room.
