Matilda has an amazing staff, always very kind and helpful. We had some issues with our bags being delayed, and they helped us receive them. Also, they arranged transportation for us from and to the airport. The location is great, right in the center of Old Quarter, and has great restaurants around. It was a great experience!

The staff could not have been anymore helpful. They let us check in extremely early as we arrived a lot earlier than expected. Also, the day we were leaving for our boat trip the young boy on the desk went out his way to ensure the bus was going to collect us (even though the trip was not booked through the hotel) he called the tour company for us and stayed with us until they picked us up. Also very clean.

Despite the hotel being right in the middle of old quarter, we couldn't hear any noise from the streets or outside from our room. The staff were also very friendly and helpful

Matilda Boutique Spa Hotel was good value for money. The breakfast is more than adequate. The staff are friendly. The room was small but good value. We hoped there would be a fridge in the room but there wasn't. As it was our first day in Vietnam we thought maybe as it was a cheap hotel we didn't get one so we never said anything, however a few days later we were looking in the cupboard for something else and a fridge appeared. It is a shame the staff didn't tell us. What was wonderful was the location. You stepped out of your hotel to a hive of activity with laundry service, restaurants and markets all on your doorstep. So outside laundry service is much cheaper than hotel. All the trips and tours we did picked up from this hotel.
