I had a wonderful experience staying at Apricot Hotel. The location is simply unbeatable – right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore all the key attractions nearby. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, always going the extra mile to ensure guests feel comfortable. A special mention goes to Mr. Trung, whose warmth and dedication stood out. I think the location is the only reason for the over priced hotel. The service is such a hit and miss that you wonder what is going on. We opened the lobby door and dragged our suitcases in, and then suddenly staff appears. We go to reception and see other couple drinking welcome drink, while we get it almost when the service is over. We again take our bags ourselves to the room, go out and come back to find a tray of fruits. It was like we were constantly moving from no-experience to 5-star experience. The room is fine, but nothing too fancy.

The location was fantastic. Right opposite the lake and in the old quarter. Walking distance to everything. Housekeeping were great - the rooms very clean. Bed comfortable and pillows were just OK. Breakfast was very good although you couldn’t ask for anything different, eg even some baked beans, which were easy to heart up. The staff were a little too attentive when collecting dishes as they collected before we had finished eating. We had upgraded to the lake view room which was lovely. The rooms were a little small as nowhere to put two suitcases, but if that is my only criticism then the stay was perfect. Front office staff were very helpful and concierge staff too. Concierge staff need a little training on tours as when we asked a young girl she had no idea what to recommend except the jeep tour. I imagine you receive commission for booking the tours so she could have been more helpful and let’s face it people are there to see Hanoi.
