- Cruise itinerary and schedule are subject to change due to weather, tide levels and operating conditions.- Swimming, kayaking/bamboo boat excursions may be cancelled due to poor weather. All guests must provide the following information 7 days before arrival: Full name - Gender - Nationality - Date of birth - Passport number.- Rates are not inclusive of transportation from Hanoi to Halong and from Halong back to Hanoi. For car pick up service, guest must provide address for pick up at least 3 days before departure.- Please take note that the check-in and key-collection take place at Tuan Chau Port. As with some others we have been asked to move our reservation from Genesis to Majestic. It was a bit disappointing that this has happened only 7 days prior to our cruise when we were already travelling in Vietnam, and forced us to deal with this instead of enjoying our holiday. Taking into consideration that we booked this cruise two months ahead we would have appreciated to not have to deal with this whilst on our travels but closer to the time we made the booking. We agreed and we were offered an "upgrade" to a slightly better room supposedly. . The staff was really nice and helpful, however the room we were given, number 302, had a terrible sewage odourl that never went away for the entire time we were in there - two nights/three days. We left the bathroom window and the balcony door open at all times but it made no difference. I was getting headaches due to the ammonia-like odour. Due to this, during the day we had to spend all the time on the deck so that we don't have to be in the room, however at night we had no escape. Our experience was totally ruined.

It was absolutely perfect! It is only not a 10 because there was no much choice of wine (basically only French and Chilean) and there was no ‘party’ after dinner, the music didn’t work. Anyway we absolutely loved it. Food was delicious. Staff were amazing. The surroundings are beautiful and it is very relaxing specially if you come from chaotic Hanoi. Would repeat for sure!

Ha Long Bay is a must see destination in Vietnam. The staff was very helpful and doing everything they can to accomodate customers. They kept asking for feedback and they listen. They really care about you being satisfied. They offered free drinks when I gave bad feedback about wine options. Our room was the suite with terrace and we were so happy to get a big room with a terrace for privacy. The views were stunning and the bathtub is beautiful as seen in pictures. Cannot comment on activities as we didnt join any and preffered to relax. We were offered also complimentary bottle of wine at our room.

This review is for Majesty cruise since there was a change because Genesis didn’t have availability. The room on the cruise was perfect exactly as the photos and super clean. We really enjoyed the bath with that view of Ha Long. And in general the ship was in great condition and the personnel friendly and helpful. What we expected to be better was food and the activities. The boart ride isn’t something special and if you had other boat rides in Ninh Binh for example then you would waste your time. I would have preferred to stay on the ship and enjoy the views and comfort.

Relaxing, good food and friendly staff. Bed was on the hard side. Outing to fishing village was somewhat disappointing. Found it to be commercial and did not get reflection of a traditional way of living
